Ceramic Studio
The studio continues a long tradition of Cone 10 high-fired ceramics, and is equipped with 36 electric wheels; four gas kilns, including a car kiln; four electric kilns for low fire and tile; one raku kiln; and one salt fire and experimental kiln.
There are over 35 glazes and a separate room for glaze mixing and production. The program features equipment for hand building, tile making, clay sculpture and 3-D design, including three slab rollers and two extruders. We proudly offer students the use of professional claymaking and pugging equipment, and all recycled clay is free for student use.
